Prof. Aneta Magdziarz, Dr Agata Mlonka-Mędrala and PhD student Małgorzata Sieradzka from AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland) during their stay at Xi’an Jiaotang University have studied pyrolysis and gasification processes of biomass with a special input on the methods of CO2 reduction in the produced syngas.
The scientists have visited university laboratories and get familiar with experimental facilities and analytical equipment. Prof. Aneta Magdziarz gave a presentation about AGH University and her group research. The researchers have also participated in Prof. Ningbo Gao research group meetings. Both teams from China and Poland exchanged knowledge and broad experience related to pyrolysis and gasification processes of biomass and set up plan for further cooperation. A preliminary scope of a joint publication was discussed and preliminary experimental tests were completed. The main tests are already started and are carried out by PhD student Małgorzata Sieradzka. Additionally, Polish team would like to thank for a great support from Chinese Partners. During their free time scientists from Poland were able to get familiar with rich historical and cultural heritage of China.
