Dr Yuqing Zhang (Aston University) has undertaken a secondment at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China from 28th July 2019 to 27th August 2019. He worked with Prof Xue Luo on assessing the technical and economic of applying using pyrolysis liquid from biomass and waste materials on energy and material application and and energy saving in road construction to reduce the cost and CO2 emission. During his visit in China, Dr Yuqing Zhang also visited Dr Ningbo Gao in Xi’an JiaoTong University to initiate a collaboration in biomass application in industry for decarbonisation.
